Who We Are
MD Biosciences was recently acquired by MLM Medical Laboratories (MLM) headquartered in Moenchengladbach, Germany. Founded in 1993, MLM is a specialized laboratory offering a full range of laboratory services, including immunology disease modeling, specialized biomarker development and testing, standard safety profiles, clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, and a full-service histopathology laboratory. MLM works 365 days a year in order to ensure valid, high-quality, results with a quick turnaround time. In December 2019, MLM became a Great Point Partners portfolio company.
What We Do
In-depth understanding of immunology and inflammatory processes is a cornerstone of our laboratories. Offering both in-vitro and in-vivo models, we can support programs at early stage screening, test item pharmacology and efficacy assessment, as well as the later translational stages. Models are further supported by comprehensive ex-vivo biomarker analysis, allowing for a multifaceted approach to best understand a compounds mechanism of action. Methods include flow cytometry, picogram level proteomic analytics, genomic assessments such as qPCR, automated Western Blot and multiplexed protein analysis.
Our histology teams provides advanced capabilities for in-depth assessment of tissue parameters with support at each stage in the histology workflow including digital image analysis. From sample preparation through to staining and assessment by our pathologists, we ensure the highest quality of data production to progress programs forward. We have developed histological assays, IHC protocols, custom ISH probes, and unique scoring methods for numerous project types with standard and customized read outs, and are always willing to discuss new assessments to meet client needs.
